Where We Are
We live right on Puget Sound in Washington State and our backyard views are breathtaking. We don't always see rainbows but we do see the Seattle Space Needle and West Seattle every day (even when it rains!). And we see much more such as:
- Blake and Vashon Islands
- Washington State Ferries leaving from Southworth (200 yds away), Vashon, and West Seattle
- Container ships and large barges
- Fishing boats, pleasure boats, yachts, canoes and kayaks
- Even trawlers on a routine basis (and a lot of fish being caught)

- In the sky, we see the inbound and outbound SeaTac Airport traffic
We also see an incredible array of animal life to add to our visual delight! The list continues to grow but is what we might see (some on a daily basis):

- Fish jumping up and slapping the water with their tail fins on occasion
- Sea lions (late fall through early spring they are here daily)
- An ornithological cornucopia of bird species including the breath taking American Bald Eagle (two frequent our backyard from Spring to Fall!)
- Deer graze in our backyard
- Raccoons, possums, squirrels provide visual pleasure
- And the dreaded moles that continue to wreak havoc on our front and back lawns
We are truly blessed to live in such a country!
